Facebook and YouTube are the latest companies to remove the content of the conspiracy theorist Alex Jones from their sites, this came hours after Apple took first steps to remove most of Jones’ podcasts from its services, citing the company’s hate-speech guidelines. While Facebook cited hate speech violations for the removal of four InfoWars-related pages, YouTube said Jones circumvented a prior 90-day live-streaming ban by using other channel owners’ accounts, leading to its permanent ban.
Alex Jones is a radio host/ filmmaker/ head of InfoWars and Prison Planet TV. Based in Austin, TX, he promotes libertarian- style views and various conspiracy theories about global government, 9/11, and pretty much whatever else is a hot topic on any given day. Prior to Obama’s administration, Jones hated the president, hated the war on terror, hated surveillance state. It is widely believed that the Barack Obama’s election changed Alex Jones. He went from being non-partisan Libertarian to someone who was mainly just anti-Obama.
A lot of people question Jones’ mental health. This is someone who attacked survivors of the school shooting (which by the way isn’t far from what Fox News does). He lies about a lot of very important things, injects his listeners with toxic paranoia, then tries to sell them the prescription to protect themselves. No doubt the guy is a psych case.
If you have watched Donald Trump closely, at least since he became the President of the United States, you would agree with me that the above characteristics of Alex Jones are not far from his. On a first glance, one may even think I was writing about the same person. I visit Donald Trump’s page on Twitter, why? Because he sits on one of the most important seats in the world. And I like to know what he thinks.
Trump launched his 2016 presidential campaign with a speech in which he described Mexican immigrants as criminals and rapists. He once tweeted fake statistics claiming that black Americans are responsible for the majority of murders of whites. Trump also made unsourced claims stating that Obama “wasn’t a very good student” who needed some sort of ambiguous help to get into college. He stated, “Sadly because President Obama has done such a poor job as president, you won’t see another black president for generations!”. Now if this isn’t another psych case, I wonder what is. Dude once called African countries ‘shit-hole’ countries. Are you still looking for the definition of ‘hate speech’?
