I hardly dance, not because I am lazy,
Not because I cannot move my body around,
I don’t dance because I simply can’t.
And this is not the case of being repeatedly told something
By other people, that you now take it to be true, even though it’s not.
I really and truly cannot dance.
Usually, I move my body a little (dance) in front of the mirror,
And sing in the shower.
I couldn’t wait till I got to the mirror today, had to get right into it.
While I dabbed my face with the chilled towel, I kept at it.
I couldn’t stop moving.
I wake up sad most mornings,
Mornings? Definitely not my favorite part of the day.
But, today is different.
Today, I danced in the shower.
