Khashoggi’s Death – Trump played a role

World Diplomats couldn’t help but laugh at Donald Trump at the last United Nations General Assembly when he mentioned that his administration had outperformed every other one that preceded his. They all laughed to his face.

“In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country,” he said. This caused some rumblings in the room, he went further to say that he didn’t expect such reaction “but that’s okay”.

Donald Trump is a typical man with a fragile ego. He thought running for President and ultimately becoming the President would compensate for this, probably make him feel better about himself. But it didn’t.

I love the urban dictionary’s definition of a man with fragile ego syndrome “A certain type of man that whines when he doesn’t get his way, yells at women when they don’t like him, and has outbursts of anger when everyone doesn’t want to suck his dick.”

Does the above definition remind you of someone? I bet it does. Donald Trump!

At his recent campaign rally, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, praised a Republican congressman for assaulting a journalist. “But Greg is smart. And by the way, never wrestle him. You understand that? Never. Any guy that can do a body slam, he’s my kind of … He was my guy.” This same congressman pleaded guilty to assault and was ultimately given a 180-day deferred sentence, 40 hours of community service, 20 hours of anger management and a $300 fine. And here was the President of the US praising him for same acts.

It is no news that Trump has eliminated the middleman in his war against journalists. Sometimes he waits to get to his chair at the oval office to send out most of his senseless tweets. Other times, it breaks through as it did at one of his recent news conference, where Trump called on ABC’s Cecilia Vega to ask a question.

“She’s shocked that I picked her,” Trump then said. “She’s in a state of shock.”
“I’m not,” Vega replied. “Thank you, Mr. President.”
Trump, apparently believing that Vega had said, “I’m not thinking that,” replied, “That’s okay, I know you’re not thinking. You never do.”
“I’m sorry?” Vega replied, nonplussed.
“No, go ahead,” Trump said. “Go ahead.”

One week after the shooting at Gazette Newspaper, Trump called 75% of the media “downright dishonest”

“Fake news. Bad people,” Trump said, pointing at the news crews covering his rally Thursday in Great Falls, Montana, as the crowd went wild.
“I see the way they write. They’re so damn dishonest,” Trump said. “And I don’t mean all of them, because some of the finest people I know are journalists really. Hard to believe when I say that. I hate to say it, but I have to say it. But 75 percent of those people are downright dishonest. Downright dishonest. They’re fake. They’re fake.”

The phrase “fake news” no doubt has become more popular and widely used ever since Trump assumed the Presidency.

Any news that doesn’t paint him right ultimately becomes ‘Fake News’. Talk about the Fragile male ego syndrome.

Jamal Khashoggi was killed in the daylight. His body allegedly dismembered.

He had been sharply critical of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, and the Country’s King. Mr. Khashoggi entered the Saudi Arabian Consulate on 2nd October 2018 in order to obtain documents related to his marriage. He didn’t come out alive.

If a world leader could be so openly critical and abusive towards the media, what message does that send to the rest of the world?
